Katana's 2D Sketchbook

Just realized that PC had a 2D section now...guess I wasn't paying attention...:) So I decided to start this sketchbook of my ongoing work.

My concentration for many years was character design, but realized that I was horting myself, so now I am trying to add more BG elements to give them some more plausibility.

First up is some ink out of my traveling sketchbook. Rocks, tree stumps, pillars and columns...

I'm currently working on a children's book for a client. Weedy (girl with straight hair) is the star. Penelope is her friend. There are nine characters in the story. most of these are adjusted in PS for clarity, since my initial stage is a hard pencil. Colors are watercolor and color pencil.

Fan art start of Hogger...not sure where this will go.

First two days of Inktober 2014. 31 days of daily inks... This will be my first attempt to complete it.
