Hi all, I'm still very new to CryEngine and I'm having some lighting issues, it's probably something really obvious that I'm missing.

It kind of looks like the ceiling is leaking light through it?

Some things to know:
All textures have been exported with CryTIF
The ceiling, floor and walls are individual parts exported with Maya CryExport

Any suggestions of what can be done?

Thanks!

P.S - I've been quite sloppy with this project so far, mainly due to CryEngine's learning curve.

One sided geometry? You need thickness to avoid this problem or visarea and portal for window.

Hi plastix, yes - it is one sided geometry, didn't realise CryEngine required thickness, either way I'll take a look at visarea and portal, thanks!

The issue itself (even though you got your interior setup wrong) is caused by shadow inaccuracy. If your dealing with an exterior scene that is setup correctly you can increase the accuracy by changing the shadow bias settings at the bottom of your time of day controls. Be warned, the settings can be extremely sensitivity and its very easy to mess everything up. Each shadow bias controls the individual GSM buffers for the sun shadows.

Thanks IchII3D, how would you suggest I setup my interior correctly? I don't mind restarting and reimporting everything as I wasn't too far into the project anyway, thanks again!
