Apparently, even though I won't get actual funds since I don't have a US bank account I can still participate and earn Amazon gift money (art books!).

But if it's like 5 hours of wrist braking work for $2 probably not worth my time.

No thanks - many of these tasks are paying about 10c an hour at best. I could only describe this setup as exploitative of desperate people and a way of trying to get around minimum wage laws.

I read about it a long while ago. But it didn't really seem worthwhile.

I agree with abershee; its very existence in the current form is disgustingly immoral.

    LOL...this shit work is Genius.

So, if you don't make the alloted time (the deadline set by the client), your job automatically goes back to the pool for others to continue. FAQ doesn't say if you'll still get a piece of that .06 you worked so hard for 5 hours.

Interesting too that while international workers can only get gift cards, only Indians can get their pay in rupees and their checks mailed to them.

No wonder this has been around for years and I only spotted it tonight.

You'll probably find that some of the people working it (a scarily high number) are being forced to do so illegaly - for example guard-run prisoner labour camps in China or India :/

    This.

I used the service back when I was in school several years ago as some of the jobs were very easy to complete (some were as simple as just typing words from an image) and I couldn't find any work locally.

As a professional service for somebody looking to make real money, this should be avoided.
