Struggling a bit with the art style, what do you guys thing about this style?
I might want to do something more like this, simpler forms, more hard edge and more desaturated colors. Picture this with something like the Moon soundtrack playing in the background.
That looks real nice. I'm a fan of simple shapes. What you have so far is really nice, and easy on the eye. Cute, even! I like how the more organic and moving things on the screen are sharper than the static background and environment.
Applying the geometric feel and look to everything probably couldn't go wrong. It looks nice in the mockup. Since you're working with simple shapes, make sure to differ things visually so they don't blend in too much with each other (unless there is a reason for them to do so). Try to vary the size and amount of edges and shapes as well to see how that would feel. More edges feel sharp and cold, and round might feel safe and cozy. I don't think you have to stay with only very triangular shapes, unless that's what you specifically want.
You're doing great! Play around and see what you can come up with.
Looking forward to seeing more
i prefered the old style. the character looks better now, but the desaturated coulors looks worse.
if you are going to have a more desaturated look, you should pick other colours. maybe something more green and yellowish? the brown and orange you have now just looks washed out.
keep up the good work though, this project seems really interesting!
Cool guys, yeah maybe il keep the saturated colors. I also had an idea to have round shapes for the environment and sharp shapes for the characters and gui, does it sound like an interesting plan?
Im not sure if I want to have the more minimalistic, clean duocolor look or go for something more painterly (like before)
Hmm honestly i don't think that having a simple choice between shark and soft is going to give the best results. I'd rather see you develop a more finessed shape language consisting of specific accelerating curves and convex and concave shapes.
The concept stuff already has that and i'd hate to see you loose that.
Ah i know why i prefer the older guy. The triangle head made it look like he was in perspective but these new set look really side on. It feels far less natural to me personally.

Ahh you guys are totally right, Still I guess it depends on what "style" the rest of the game is in, Il try it ingame and see how it looks, might be interesting to replace the head with a tringale later on just to see the difference
Thanks guys, Im currently working a bit on a demo of one of the dungeons, not sure when I will have time to finish it but when I do il put it up here for people to play.

Also the geometric shapes to me feel less finessed and looks like flash vector artifacts to me.
But it's your choice, i just think this iteration is a major step backwards.

I do like where the GUI is going though, its nice with less stuff in the way, and also the circle gives me a good place to put a waypoint marker.

Sounds good. I look forward to the updates !
