No matter how many times I rewrite this paragraph I can't seem to make it come across as anything but creepy, but I promise I'm not stalking you!
Anyways, I remember you mentioning construct 2 being a great way for artists to develop their own games if they know nothing about programming. I'm really interested in doing that myself, so I'm definitely going to be following your progress here. Can't wait to see what you make!
Oh and I must ask you a question. I am a 3d artist but more recently I've really been interested in 2d ,do you happen to know any good tutorials or rresources online that teach hiw to make animations such as the ones you have above.

Thanks guys, I currently have a lot of cool environment stuff up and running but I need to optimize it more for the mobile, current FPS is a bit to low, Il post more when I got it up and running smoothly.
Oh and Immanu'EL Segol: Just use Photoshops timeline, its really basic stuff. If you just google making 2D sprite animation in Photoshop I know you will find something, I just learned it myself.
Improved some spawning behaviour and optimized a bit more, looks pretty cool il post some new stuff when I have something that you can hunt in the game :P

Just some tiny updates, been a lot of other stuff taking time latley. Atleast I fixed up the interface a bit and finished the AI behaviour for some of the herbivour animals. There is so much stuff left to do though :P

Hehe thanks guys, yeah hes probably gonna be white/grey/yellow later, it will pop better than green and orange against the warm colors. Also im thinking off keeping white as a "man-made" color. so stuff like robots, buildings, vehicles, suits, etc.
Honestly just keep the stripes and add one at the bottom of his poncho. Stripes are an old graphic design trick to make a shape stand out in-front of every other value.
Your concept looks nice. It feels both intriguing and evocative, good job there!

but There will probably be a proper rework of the GUI as well as simplifying and streamlining a lot of the gameplay and GUI features. Less is more as we all know.
Since I got all the core features in now though I will first focus on getting the environment for the first part of the game more or less done, so a few more concepts will probably pop up here.
Once that is complete I will sleek out the gameplay, add a basic tutorial and then put a demo up here for everyone to play.
dude love the concept's man and that in-game enviro pic looks pretty cool . hopefully we get to ses creatures running around and being able to kill them and skin them or something.

During night It can be a good idea to set up camp if your cold, low on food or just want to avoid trouble during the night.
It will keep you warm, fill up your stamina a bit and the fire will keep predators away. Sleeping will also make morning come all that quicker.
Setting up a fire will help with the cold, and smaller predators + it also allows you to eat any food you found during the day.
- Next up to fix, inventory.
I just need to get the inventory stuff sorted out and then il finally start on the environment (the thing that really interests me)
I have done a lot of work on the interface, making sure that the base for the survival stuff is working.
I have also finished creating a methode for how to spawn the environment, creating the art for that should be up next.

I just solved a really tough AI problem (been wrestling with it for a few days now)
So hopefully I will have some new stuff up this week!

The green character pops the best from the background imo and that triangle head is boss
This is looking awesome man, loving every update
Only problem with the green is that for a colorblind person it doesn't pop. If it werent for the darker stripes i'd loose him.
