Hi everyone!
Sorry for overusing this handgun, but recently I had luck firing one (I'ts not so easy where I'm from). That determined my choice. That's my second attempt of modeling something using subdivision. First one remains unfinished. ) So that's what I've got for the moment. Planning to make detailed low-poly. I know about over-hardened edges, I'll fix it if the bugs occur while baking.
Any crits and comments are welcome. )

How do you modelled in the shapes that i have marked red:

A quick thing I do to check is zoom out a bit and see if the corner looks rounded or sharp
Been practicing baking normal maps. Soo much harder than organic objects. Almost drove me nuts wile I was trying to achieve satisfactory result.
Say if you do not understand I may not have phrased it very clearly.
Here's the low poly with normals and ao. A bit less than 3k tris, 2048 maps.
I sure could cut down a plenty of polys and work more on uvs packing... But I'm already spent too much time on that one.
Unfortunately the site that seems to have good texturing tutorial is down for more than a week. (
This one doesn't go anywhere like FPS.
It's made just for practice, so the aim was to make it look nice from all sides, not only rear-left. )
