We are currently on the lookout for an additional 2D artist to join our team to work on our current project and potentially other future projects.
We are coming to the end of our prototyping phase and are about to start work on our internal test level / demo. The Game is a 2D top down action puzzler set in a sci fi dystopia with some interesting and unique mechanics.
We are looking to complete our test / demo level by the end of July at which time we will decide upon the best course of action to find funding, either down the publisher route or through crowd funding as both options are available to us due to close connections with publishing studios and good knowledge of how to run a successful crowd funding campaign.
For this role we are looking for someone that can contribute a good amount of time each week and is able to attend evening meetings via skype once or twice a week. We use other tools including Kanbanize for project management and Confluence for all documentation.
Versatility is a real plus, being able to do everything from Concept work through to asset creation and animation would be a real bonus.
Our Team is currently made up of a very talented group of experienced developers with a variety of skills and backgrounds based around Europe.
Here are the details for the Role:
Your Job:- Development and preparation of prototypes and style determination in close collaboration with our Lead Artist.
- Development of ideas from concept through quick sketches to finished illustration
- Planning and independent implementation of graphic concepts for game worlds, characters, vehicles, storyboards and other visual content of our game
- You will find sound solutions to any challenges that arise. Development and management of internal design ideas and continuing education programs. Close cooperation with the designers, programmers and audio designer.
Your Profile:- A solid experience in visual arts, animation, visual effects.
- Very good knowledge of Photoshop or other 2D art and painting programs
- Excellent traditional and digital drawing skills
- Extremely well versed in anatomy, proportions, perspectives and color theory
- You have distinctive communication skills — and you enjoy working in a team
- A very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
- Passion for the development of games
Additional plus:- Knowledge of Unity
- 2d animation skills
- Knowledge of 3d programs (not essential)
