Hi, we are pushing for our first playable demo this summer so I thought it might be time to start a dump of all our work.

The Wind in the Willows - The Game

The project was started in February 2014 by students and lecturer staff at the University of Hertfordshire but the source files are totally open to any other academics, hobbyists, professionals that would like to help out on this non profit adventure.

To start we are concentrating on three small playable areas/levels and keep refining the game play and polish before expanding, it's a bit of a collection of old and new work being hammered out best we can, we know its a long way from what you guys create but we will try our best and have some fun along the way.

Would really appreciate any critique and if there are any volunteers out there then we would be more then happy to take onboard your services in any shape of form.

For those wanting more details and story. There has been an invasion…of Toad Hall! It seems that that pesky oil and coal that was surveyed last year under the land has attracted those blasted Weasels, and they’ve sent their Mecha stomping all over the area along with their Ships, Tanks, Mobile Fortresses and their…..well, it’s perfectly ghastly!

What does this have to do with you, do you ask? Well, you see it’s like this – We want you to take control of Toad, and with his friends and lead them on an amazing adventure. It will take you from Toad Hall, via New Albion City and any number of scrapes and battles with the New Weasel Order, to…well, hopefully victory and regaining control of Toad Hall. But we’ll just have to see how the story plays out, because stories are like that.

The model is built, time for some wings and then a bake down.

To be honest, while I think everything looks fine by itself, some of the stuff feels really out of place. I can see how you might justify that by an invasion from another world, but it's quite apparent that some of those pieces are simply what the participants felt like doing at that time. But then it's probably hard to balance everyone's motivation and artistic goals on a project like that.
