Mirror Problem/Crash

Hi there just wondering if anybody could offer some advice for my current situation. I'm currently in the process of working on a character who's boot I want to mirror to the other side of the model. When using sub tool master to mirror, Zbrush fails me. The program simply hangs and I'm forced to restart. This is even the case when I attempt this from the lowest sub div level. It states that it is rebuilding sub div levels and hangs for ever. Is there any other way around this? Thanks a lot.

You should be able to just duplicate your boot subtool then under the Tool > Deformation subpalette click Mirror (across the appropriate axis).

Thanks for your quick response although it seems that the mirror deformation cannot be applied to sub tools with multiple sub div levels.

Try deleting your lower subdivisions then reconstructing them after you have mirrored.

Well interestingly this method is a lot quicker at mirroring the geometry although it seems that when I click on reconstruct I can only reconstruct one level, which isn't ideal really. I'm left with a high level and another one only somewhat less dense. I can actually mirror most components of the boot, but I seem to have to wait a long period.
