I don't suppose there's plugin/mod for something like this already ??
I feel this isn't really about getting used to the (horrible ?) UI. This isn't about learning that Edit Topolgy Skin Thickness and Adaptive Skin Preview/Make Skin are not next to each other. The number of brushes (or alpha or texture) will only go up with time. And better way to organize stuff should be done better.
That's true. I suppose one way is to make a lot of Sub-palettes. Each one with its kind of brushes. Then go to those palettes instead of browsing thru all the brushes like normal.
You can take extra brushes out of the main Zbrush folder and keep them in lightbox. (I would be careful and research before you do this, some brushes have to stay in the main Zbrush folder or Zbrush wont work correctly.)
I personally made three custom palettes with 8 brushes in each and hotkeyed them. After I did that, i found myself rarely going into the main brush palette and it sped things up a lot.
Thanks man. That's what I end up doing. But, is there a way to set a hotkey so the palette pops up like if you press F1-F5, or like hitting 'B' or spacebar ?
I believe only hotkeyed menus pop up like that. So you would have to make a custom menu and then you could make subpallets in there with the brushes you want. Not a bad idea actually.
