My name is Niclas Nettelbladt and I am currently a student at FutureGames in Stockholm, Sweden. My focus as an artist is in making Characters. Please look through the thread and give critique or comments before you leave.
Have fun.
so here's my first real try a making a character. the assignment in school was to make a small level and a character that can walk around in it.
It's just under 6000 tris, since that was the limit in the assignment.
We did our first game project late last year, and so now it is time to share my part in it.
the game is about a train robber in the wild west, and the goal is to loot trains and rob the passengers.
this is the main character in the game.
and these are the passengers on the train.
this was a real fun experience, and I hope to get to do more characters on later projects.
Your characters somehow reminded me of people that would be in a cartoon like thomas the tank engine. I can just see the woman in the purple dress being at a train station haha, nice style.
so last week we learned to work in mudbox and bake down the normals. this is my first go. I really like this kind of approach, and I'm getting used to mudbox as well.
the assignment was to make a character, a vehicle or an enivronment, and since I saw Blade Runner again last weekend I decided to try and sculpt Roy Batty.
Here's the finished work.
It's been some time since my last post in this thread. Will try to be better at posting in the future. Here's comes a small dump of the stuff I've done anyway.
