zBrush - trim Curve problem

Hey,
i have a probleme with the trim curve. i hope the issue is understandable from the screenshot.
both cuts are made from a non perspective perfect front view. while the lower one - done with the clip curve - shows the result i would expect the upper one - done with the trim curve - doesn´t. it only happens when i do a curved curve. if i just draw a straight line a also get a clean cut. has anyone an idea why this happens? the next probleme i´m facing is that when i´m cutting with the clip curve an hit alt while releasing the mouse it inverts the clipped area. the same does not work with the trim curve even if it´s changing the appearance like the clip curve doe´s to show that i will get an inverted cut.
i hope i´m not to stupid and overlooked a simple solution but i dont get it. any help is highly appreciated.
