I'd prefer the doctor as it has several different elements to choose from and its a male character. But if it boiled down to the medieval dude and the chick with the vacuum cleaner on her head I go for the Medieval dude.
The conquistador is from the same guy that made the Bunny. So we're safe.
The Lava girl, is from Marc, and he's cool with us using his pic.
I just contacted Mitch for the Doctor, he's cool with it too.
I think we just got all our base covered. Unless the Nazi officer gets lots more love during the last 2 days
I'm not going to be able to participate this month due to freelance commitments.
But I'm with @Vital-ire and would vote for this one. Would be good fun I believe.
OK people ! I really think we shouldn't do the dual axe dude Except from learning how to texture leather there is nothin else to gain from it, also it wouldn't serve well as a portfolio piece well ( I think)
He is simply too generic. Our hunter girl was really interesting.
I think we should do an realistic male character with an interesting look/ feel to. We did a cartoon female character. Last month.
So here are my offers. If you like them and find something similar please post them.
If we really will do a middle age- armor character I advise these ladies:
Lady on the left or third male character fromleft ( commander- looking one with beard ) is also fine:
I think it is really important to keep in mind this has to be completed in one month. While super awesome complex concepts are great rushing to complete them in a month doesn't help anyone learn. I say we start simpler with a good mix of surfaces. The character for this month was super simple and only 3 final models have been posted. And that was with an extra two weeks. That's why I tried to post relatively simple concepts with a good mix of surfaces. Just wanted to voice a concern with some of the concepts posted.
@TAN, nice stuff there. I'm gonna pin them for future use
@stevston89, True. Though one can still learn from it without having to actually finish it. Though I thought it was only 1 week extra time. And not everyone started at the very beginning. Many started awhile later. Though I think the top3 voted are do-able in a month... I hope anyway.
If this is supposed to be a learning exercise, I'd suggest the girl with the big chunky metal thing on her back is probably your best option given the variety of different surfaces and intricate cloth detail. It's not necessarily the most appealing of concepts though.
Personally I think that the doctor and medieval dude have more material/ surface types to work with. I also think they are more do able for the time frame. Also would be nice to not do a stylized female again...

Echoing this. I think the design is quite rubbish (great execution; no disrespect to the artist) but it seems to provide a pretty good opportunity for practice on a wide array of subject matter (materials, anatomy, hard-surface, cloth, etc).

am i the only one that's wants to do this one? lol
Nice mix of hard surface, clothing and anatomy/robotics.
And she is a lady! All the things I need to work on haha. I dig the old man with the polearm too though. I'm excited to see what we end up with
I'll throw my "official" vote for this one.
Countdown to Voting End | Refresh to update the countdown.
I think I'm gonna lose this one though.

Varied materials, scifi fashion, not too generic.
