i really love these piece they are very nice and interesting you show some really cool techniques for anatomy are there any tips you would recommend to me in terms of lighting and composition
(actually counting sketches i'm at like 750, I'll try to post a bunch tomorrow.)
A quick illustration I did this week for next weeks materials class. Need to tweak further but yeah. Isolated a few areas out, for the students to paint in and figure out. Goal is to have an image that is full and coherent with the right materials.
If you are learning art yourself, you can join I will post the full illustration next week so the students can't "cheat" too much, heh.
The sphere is a black polished sphere, like a pool ball or the Palantir from lord of the rings.
The vial is glass, half filled with a mid-tone liquid. The rest is mid-tone cloth, (darkish) wood for the interior of the shield and leather on the book/shoe.
Just wanted to give you some feedback on your latest rough color sketches, i think you could use a correction layer in order to turn all of that in grayscale and better judge your values.
On some of them, like the winged dude with a sword, some Background values are super close to other foreground values, this doesn't help to read the picture correctly. hope that helps ^^
