vert problem

WHen i try to place a vert it dissapears or it is not in the place that i had clicked to place it. Also though unrelated when i try to place a primitive in one of my viewpoints it will not allow me to.

If you are creating primitives in 3ds max make sure your selected layer isn't hidden.
