Flail on its way. I've made it 4 sides and not six, so i could put a little more details. I have an issue with the skin on the chain, not sure why because it works in max. Made some kind of beads instead of chain. It probably looks less solid but more chinese and different from other skins so idno.
I like the lamp and the shoulder pads. You can also probably swap this lamp to warlock and maybe add perhaps some horse patterns/textures on it for the Chinese new year theme that valve wants.
Shoulder thingy didn't come as i want (design isn't great, probably not enough readable from distance, also i'm kinda new to sculpting) so i stopped wasting time on it and started the flail. Color aren't def, i'll tweak the maps with the ingame model hopefuly tomorrow.

I like where this is going, im not sure i can read the shape correctly, but does it have holes in the circles? cause the particles from SB would look nice if they were inside the weapon.
Not really holes, i was thinking more of rice paper thingy on the window. I had an extrusion tho, on lod0 but i had to squeeze that for the 600 tris limit (im actually at 598 ). Note that valve model is 754 tris, unfair !
But yeah i'd like particles emission, so i don't really know what to do. Looks like i can't export a mesh for particles tho.
I had to let dow the beads on the chain too, because obviously valve has edited bones position in the qc, and it makes a big hole between links (or awfull stretch) no matter what i do. So, yeah had to make the same type of chain.
As for color, well, there's blue and gold from SB. I like the red, i think it would lose smthing if i change that. Her's what it looks like now, i havent set all the masks.

Noors, I absolutely love the red and yellow. Even if it isn't spirits default colors, I think that it's aleast worth a shot, and if the quality is there it will get the attention it deserves. Honestly I think this might be my favorite CNY piece, and the most "New Years" themed one I've seen, and the color makes a huge part of that pop.
He just feels like a huge fun parade haha.
Worst case, you can always just make a variant texture and do what you need to to get it in game, but I am all for this piece being as badass as you want to make it

Just noticed the top of the lantern is similar to spirits default color scheme. Brilliant way to bring the character back into the vibrant color scheme. I think this really brings the whole set together.
yay low poly bracer. I think i got a little more the dota style on this. I'll probably tweak the color again tomorrow, not satisfied. Maybe make the inlay bit glowy.
I've edited the handle because the dragon head was barely visible so i prefered something that actually change the silhouette. Also made an emissive mask.

But the belt looks shit with the texture resolution. I shouldn't have go away from valves shape once again *sigh*
The only thing i'm happy with is the gauntlet, which was the fastest thing to do.
