    In the texture, the light is coming from the top.

    I wan't quite sure, because I looked at sides and they were lit the same way. Also the biggest "crevices" looked to me like they were lit from opposite direction.

    The cracks at top look like they wouldn't be dark if the light came from top.
    Top part is only slightly darker than bottom.
