First thing, I'd bevel the edges of the buckle. That would soften them and shade much better (like it is is fine for the lowest detail).
I'd probably make it a little less wide (the buckle that is) , not a lot but some.
I'd also model in the strap, mainly for shading, but also in the middle of the buckle it should bump out some (there is a bar going straight down it so the strap can hold it)
Also, notice how the back of the rim flairs up, it adds a lot to the shape.
