assembly line robot

hi, I am new to this forum. Also please excuse my newbiness as it's my 4rth week of learning maya!. So I just created this arm based off of a bunch of different products of Fanuc robotics. They didn't have a side or front view of any particular model, just random angles of different ones. so I kinda improvised some of it and did some mixing and matching. How does my mesh look so far?

If my intent is to use this for a game, for now let's say it's a sci-fi game with a diablo3 camera view. what can I work on? Did I use too many polygons? Intended to be a prop.

not sure next step, but I plan to make a high quality version of this with beveled edges and all, then try to create a normal map out of it.
