Well, I will get on this months challenge and will try to do that statue. Besides If proportions are off then you can get away by saying that proportions are off in these statues as well, but nobody seems to mind.
You can also randomly cut off random chunks of stone, and say it was damaged.
Regardless I think that statue is least of the problem on the scene, especially since you can hardly see what it really is on the concept. Just grab random picture from internet and try to make something similiar.
If this one wins, I'll try to participate this time again There are so many sci-fi corridors and so few organic pieces... I'd really want to practice that a little more.
