For the record, the UK threshold is not £21,000 any more, it's £16,365. [/url]

Hertfordshire University Innovation Centre - http://www.herts.ac.uk/business-services/hire-our-facilities/innovation-centre

If anyone does have a solid indie game in development and would like free office space and support getting it up and running then we can offer free office space, equipment support, Motion Capture, Render Farm, Server Space, Cannon 5Ds, business support, all the amenities you would want, toilets, heating, kitchen and so on. My team also managed to bring in £380,000 from various sources over the summer to help get a project up and running so we really want to spend it on an indie project.

I would be more then happy to present your idea to my bosses or you can if you can make it in and I will book a meeting and show you around. This has been helped by the UK government wanting to invest lots of money into the UK computer games development sector. We also have good contacts with Hertfordshire local enterprise so once you are ready to move to new premises say in a year or two they can offer great deals on larger office space in return for keeping the business in Hertfordshire county. We are also 20 minutes by train to Kings Cross London so you can nip into Sony Soho, Microsoft Soho and so on. The royalty deal is dependant on how far along you are but you can negotiate that with them, it will be very small as we want you to grow at the end of the day.

Not including London the East of England region boasts, 18% of the UK Games Industry workforce based here. A vibrant community made up of publishers, large & small independent developers, middleware, support services. A large number of world class technology companies. World class universities. Thriving entrepreneurial business environment.

And its a great place to live & work, so I hope we can help.

The main aim is to help keep the UK games sector as strong as it always has been. Then one day when its up and running it will hopefully get UK graduates into employment and the Uni may make a little from it as well but if we don't it does not matter as I am sure new ideas and learning would come from it. If it does go well then I hope we can run the same system again the following year, and it keeps me in a job too.

This is a good case study, Supercell started in a small room three years ago and now earns over $2.4m every day and netted 3 billion last year. Wishful thinking I know but you never know, aim for the sky and all that.
