Is anyone here experienced in the program called Nuke?

I am trying to land an internship and I must learn this program called Nuke. I was just wondering if anyone on this site knows about Nuke. If so I want to know if you are able to edit videos in the way you would in Imovie using Nuke. (like cropping video out and putting a transition effect)

I'm not experienced with it but considering it's one of the most powerful postproduction software, i'm pretty confident you can do this.
