I would like to share some recent 360 panoramic hand painted skyboxs I did for World of Warcraft 7.3: Shadow of Argus.
I have had a lot of fun and learnt a lot on the project. This is the first one I did for Krokunn.

I wanted to practice painting lighting as well as describing a few common materials, Wood, Stone, Metal (a bit). All in all, I'd say that I've put about 8 hours of work into this, just kind of making things up as I went.
This was modelled and polypainted in Zbrush. Most people probably 3Dpaint in 3D coat or substance painter but I love the feel of z brush despite the lack of layers. The model itself could be more optimized but I wanted to focus on the painting so pls forgive, thanks

Only one stuff I would recommend, it is to check it in gray-scale. Seems it's done in pretty same shades which doesn't allow me to focus the eye on the individual details :P

I really like that direction!
I tried to stay closer to the reference, which is why it is a more purple hue, but I think that may have been a mistake. I also like the work you did on the edge of the leather, and will definitely keep that in mind next time I work with leather.
I was also going to do VFX for the fire out of the eyes, but since I am focusing on school, I haven't gotten the time to learn that as well.
If I ever come back for touch up on this though, these suggestions will really help! Thank you!

I finished this a couple months ago, just a summery, tropical-themed lowpoly diorama. The ocelot is based off a lovely concept by Heather Nesheim (heddarsketch).
