We'll since it looks like taunts are a thing, I'm going to go ahead and make a thread for us animators to share our rigs for others to download and experiment with. Hopefully other animators share their rigs as well! I also believe these could also be great for helping in making promotional artwork, cheers!
If you would like to contribute a percent of any workshop creation that uses these rigs, this will help support me for the duration of the Dota 2 rigging project. Steam ID is :

Also, It seems the skeleton king rig is looking for "Facecontrol.fbx"
I fixed that, forgot to remove the reference, if you download the link now it will be the updated version of that. I do these quick too, I did the earthshaker in about 45 minutes last night, and Im finishing up a darkseer and centaur warrunner now. I plan on doing this for every character in the game.
Also, another thing I'd like to do is build other cosmetics into these rigs, stuff already on the store, or even including some of the new stuff you guys are working on into the rig. Have a few armor sets avalible to tinker with. So if anyone wants me to test anything, send me stuffs for these characters and I'll rig it up.
Also, any requests?
Slark might be a fun one to do.
Slark is on tonights agenda then! Once I finished Centaur Warrunner, just need to clean him up.
Depends on the character and what I want to do as far as the animation. Although, having a FK/FK swtich is something I plan on including on all of them at some point.
This was a problem I ran into, never had a great solution for it, but here is the long conversation we had about it:
http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=125461.
Some of the thread will be on that subject.
Indeed! I tested this with Bounchs Dead Winter set, very smooth transition. But I went a step further with that set and already incorprated it in that specific rig. You should also be able to use these rigs to skin your items and they should import into the game as normal. I'm going to test that myself.
Honestly, there should be a push for custom animations with items, I'd really enjoy seeing something like that.
Also about finsihed with Bristleback. Huskar, Slark, and Lina are probably going to be finished later in the week given the fact that I'll be very busy running around Los Santos causing all sorts of chaos!
I don't understand why FK is always the default for rigs, it's so much slower
I've been meaning to get to that. For whatever reason I used FK on there. Sometimes I get these spurs where I only want to animate in FK. Ill have that fix soon!
Also finishing up Axe right now.
great, think you can make the gun have a parent constraint toggle?
I need to go back and check all of them, I kinda do some rigging then get sucked into other things! Haha, Ill look into this and fix everything soon!
Alright, I fixed that for you, I completly missed that! It should be updated in the download link!
Sniper is upnext!

what version of maya are you using?
I will try again later.
2011 (a little old i know)
I don't know which version of Maya Valve uses but their models works here.
Ahh that might be a problem, I remember there being backward compatibility issues when using a post-2012 file on any pre-2012 software. I save these rigs out from a Maya 2014 version, so I imagine that alters some things. That could be your issue. Nevertheless let me know how they work on that platform so I can update the compatibility list on the guide.
