One of these two. I love how they have enough atmosphere in them to stand on their own but also empty enough to allow for some added extra personalisation. They've also got a nice selection of wood, stone and some fabric.
I vote for these two as well. Both of these concepts are also similar enough to perhaps merge different aspects of both concepts together to give more room for added personalization of textures and assets.
I'm thinking about joining in on this one if you guys and gals don't mind. First time I'd be looking at doing a fully finished game environment. Got a month till uni starts again so I would like to take this opportunity to build up some more knowledge on environments and different modelling techniques.
Apologies in advance if I do indeed participate and it looks horrible .Only going into my 2nd year come October which means my knowledge of dealing with such a project is rather lackluster compared to a lot of 3D artists and environment artists on here and else where.
Yup !
Both of these would make an excellent challenge! Plenty of different techniques used, large amount of atmosphere going on,lots of different approaches possible, good lighting neede etc etc
Watched last month's challenge and loved how everyone did, think it's finally time for me to stop lurking and get involved.
Images 1&2 seem very much in the lead at the moment and I like both. Number 6 (the sci-fi tech corridor with hints of orange) is doing well too.
I'd like to give 5 a go (the penthouse apartment) but I'm too confused about what's happening with the floor layout there in the top left of the image?
From a game level design angle, I think I'd discount image 7&8 (the last tech corridor and the fiery homestead/hearth) because they just seem too small to be levels or significant areas?
I'd discount 3 as well I guess (the cathedral/castle grounds) as it's basically two wall assets and a background matte?
Umm, most of the concept art looks great, but something simillar to it has already been done between (1-10).
But why not try something technical this time, Modular design for outdoor scene... Suggesting, lets try to recreate this one(GOWJ)

Really liking this one a lot

If I have some time on my hands I'm going to participate in this one.
This one is awesome.

Oh yeeahhh. Haha, I wanna start this like right now.
Definitly digging this one!
I vote for this one
This. I think I'm gonna do this one to sharpen up my environment skills for a personal project.
This scene gets my vote too. I'm going to second Bonkahe on wanting to do this as a project no matter what.

one of these 2.
This would be an interesting piece to do with some PBL shaders in UDK so this gets my vote

This will be my first attempt at a noob challenge
Looking forward to this.
This one. Because it seems simple enough for noobs... had problems with the last one.
These are my votes. Top to bottom in terms of preference, though the others are also good.

My two cents anyway, looking forward to it!
