So I am basically looking for some feedback and crits on my portfolio and any projects that I end up posting on here.
I'm an aspiring environment artist living in the UK and I am looking for my first job in the Game industry.
Bit of background: I have a masters degree in video game development (Gamer Camp at Birmingham City University) where I spent a year working in a professional studio environment working on real projects. More information can be found on my portfolio.
My online portfolio address is: stephanebaroux.weebly.com (also in my signature)
I would really appreciate any crits on how I could make this better and stand out more.
Thanks in advance

So I am looking to model this awesome flying village
This is a quick collage of where I am at after a couple of hours (I had already done the breakdown a few weeks ago, so my approach may possibly change) Today I've done a low-level blockout. Will build on it and take it from there:
I know it's still early but if anybody has any suggestions or crits at any point please feel free to let me know.
EDIT: I am using the concept as a rough guide, I don't plan to stick 100% to it
Quite a busy time right now, but hoping to pick up speed in the coming weeks
Anyway that is over and I can (finally) bring myself back to the wonderful world of 3D.
First things first is to apply some changes to my portfolio pieces based on some feedback I got a couple of months back.
I'm working on the 'Forgotten World' project, trying to take it even further. It's going pretty well but I've stumbled across some weird lighting issues:
if anybody can point me in the direction of what could be causing this problem it would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: I figured out where the problem stemmed from. I'd put the 'light source angle' for my dominantDirection at a high number a while back, and putting it back to a default setting solved the issue.
