I haven't modeled anything in far, far too long-- it's embarrassing. So this challenge looks like a good place to pick it back up again. Here's a sketch that should at least mostly convey what I'm thinking... (please excuse the perspective and poor anatomy) Going to try to encapsulate lots of elements from the entire game, though I'm not going to try to recreate a specific scene or encounter. Little nods to as many as I can will hopefully be within my scope for this thing, though.
Note: So none of the monitors in my house can connect to my PS2, so I'm flying off of internet references.
Maybe if I have time and don't get distracted by something shiny there will be more little things in there... Will see how things go.[IMG]

Edit: some of the wiggly lines have been corrected since this screenshot was taken.
104 tris each. May need some tweaks, but I'll see how the details go on the textures, first.
First attempt at foliage ever. 498 tris. Just one or two more <~500 tri meshes left before all the itty bitty things.
@MLewallen - Thanks! I hope that my texturing won't ruin these... Well, I have time to get obsessive about those, at least.
Update: brought the count down to 96 on the brush.
Still behind where I want to be, but things are starting to come together a bit.
Still doing details on the big scroll and Amaterasu. WILL be done in time if upload isn't a disaster.

Yeah.. I saw that, taught my monitor some new, colorful collections of words and have been trying to figure out how I want to combine some of these. Will see if doing so makes things.. better.
