So! I'm excited to do this contest; I don't usually work quite so low poly, so this'll be a fun challenge.
Anyway, after a lot of debate and something of a list of possible games, I decided on Dragon Age: Origins. Specifically, one of the scenes I remember best - fighting the Archdemon.
This is just the environment at the moment.

I'm hoping to get some of the detail work going soon - nothing major; some railing stuff so the edges aren't so flat.
Also! Haha, bigger asset piece: The Catapaults! There's two of 'em, one on either side.
Environment WIP! Catapault (444 tris) , and detailing in. Trying to figure out something to add in around the bottom to give more of the 'rooftop' feel.
All total, the environment itself, right now, is at 3736 tris (not counting the pedestal turntable thingy. Or the catapults.) Might have to knock the railing down some.

So this crazy beast, when I originally finished modeling him, was almost 1k in poly. I managed to knock him down to 656 - I was trying to stay as close to the suggested 500 as I could, and not wanting to go over 700 if I could manage.

Archdemon, modeled and UV'ed. Texturing is going to be fun!
After a lot of debate, I decided to go with my Dalish Rogue Warden. ( It was a toss up between her and my Elf Mage Warden.)
The base itself topped out at 518 not including the weapons.
*Some tweaking will occur, of course! Final numbers later.

The floor:
So, even with not sticking exactly to the design, I felt these circle-designs were important to the floor, and wanted to keep them in. (Ya know, when trying to figure out the design, for some reason it seemed very Lolth-like and spidery.)
Fire:
Ya know...I'm just not sure about the fire. I thought 'Denerim is burning beneath the party's feet while they fight the archdemon'. So, fire!
Eh. Maybe it needs to be darker or something.
Anyway, I just cannot seem to get it to work. I have my materials all named, and my objects named, and my textures are all separate , as a friend said needed to be done. But when I go to apply them in sketchfab, it just slaps the one texture over the whole thing.
Help? Please?

Maya shows a grand total of 10.8k tris for the whole scene; sketchfab says 13.2k. Wierd.
