Love Portal 2 so much! I'll be watching Also, there are a plethora of image hosting sites out there. Personally, I use imgur as it seems to be the fastest for me, but any one will do and is probably easier than attaching the images.
Here is the first bit of, the main character, Chell. I also can not even begin to describe my hatred of modeling with triangles, but it is a good challenge.
If you're not so comfortable modelling in triangles, model in 4-sided polys instead and then just triangulate it at the end - either manually or through a modifier.
Here is Chell, with 714 triangles. I will have to come back to this model later to fix and issue with normal edge smoothing on one of the legs and try to get the tris closer to 500.
@Moosebish // There was a rule update allowing opacity maps that did not have any semi-transparency, you can find it right under the thread on the rules.
Here is the portal gun model, with 551 tries, it's a little higher than i wanted but fine for now. I am going to start boxing in the environment and GLaDOS next.
Looking great so far! One thing I will say is i think you're going way over the tri limits. I'd have thought the character and the gun combined would come to not much over than 500 tris.
Remember, most of your details can be faked. Even a cube can be made to look circular with smoothing groups.
I hope you don't mind but I went ahead and did a quick sketch over the gun to demonstrate. You could make the spokes coming out single planes and really reduce the number of sides for your cylinders.
I have been having a hard time uploading the textures to sketchfab. I tried exporting to obj like I normal do and zip the textures with it; but it did not keep the original geometry or have any textures. I also tried fbx, but had no luck uploading the texture images. Im going to try and change my images to png format and add image ids to everything to see if it changes anything.

Hope I've not overstepped the mark!
