Your anatomy is spot on! I love how you flesh out characters and give them depth through design choices. Thank you for sharing your work (high poly, retopo, environment, etc...). I'm taking notes

I was tasked with replicating a digital version of my partners head from a scan. Learnt a lot on this project and big thanks to Liam Grice for helping with the renders/crit. I'll link his Artstation bellow:
More maps than I can account for! Are they all for the same dinosaur, or do they represent maps for all the dinosaurs? I'm guessing the chromatic ones are for masking and doing various kinds of diffuse blends. But for the monochrome ones, are you using some of them to map interesting properties like... feather density, or something?
Cheers all! @Zablorg aye these are the maps I used for all the dinos. Those would be the translucency maps! They help with softening some of the area when light touches them. I used the object space normals to steal the green channel and slightly blend over the diffuse. It lifts the flat diffuse and gives it more depth.
This is a bit of an older one, but I just want to make sure I understand the topology correctly- are the extra loops at the elbows and knees (that terminate in triangles) used for deformation? So it can bend its knees and raise/lower its arms at the elbow?

Back with one of my many personal projects, a momentary of peace from all the cute characters I've been making in work.
Cheers!
