Dumping some actual work here this time
[Female character wip]
Going to change her whole head, too generic and cant really picture her fitting in that era with her current face.
[Male character wip, likeness attempt]

These are going to be used for a Shakespeare project [The Tempest]. Both originaly started stylised but had to redo and change it to realistic 2 weeks down the line. Atleast I got to practice on both sides
[

lol that lollipop just made my day
tho the dude with the lollipop needs a slightly shorter neck IMO
haha cheers dude, i dont actually know the exact reasoning behind the lolipop :P but yes the neck is slightly long i can see that now. Thanks for the feedback!

base mesh from 3ds Max, the bricks are from IMM insert brush and reworked the surfaces. On the process of re-topology in 3D Coat :poly142:
Cheers and go for it could spend forever on a study. Especially seeing some tweaks i can add after laying this out, but better to start a new one from scratch i guess.
One thing that stood out for me in the first image - the cranial mass of the skull seems a bit too small, especially near the rear of the head, I'd maybe be tempted to increase the size slightly.
Other than the nitpicking, awesome stuff!
Thanks ^^ and cheers for the tip dude you're right, it is off and will correct it. Didn't really notice it when i quickly put the hair in.
Will do more study later on

One big environment project and learned a lot from it, mostly on the "don't do it this way"....lack of planning or concept were the big uns. Apart from that I enjoyed making it and was a really good practice overall.
Next on the plate I get to make an underground scene (Blitz). Where people took refuge during the bombings in WW2. For this project I wanted to make my own textures, from sculpting in Zbrush to editing and finalizing in Photoshop. This process gave me a lot more control on the detail especially the normal map, I also used poly paint to get the base colors. The scale is off also and these textures aren't final.

I have been playing around more with TB2 again and cant wait to make more.
Decided to go back to an old bust I started a while back and make a new character out of him , started with zspheres followed by dynamesh and zremesher for a quick basemesh to pull about. Then pretty much played afterwards.
(left) POSE!! right up my alley! great! (hips forward, back backwards, head tilted down, shoulders back!)
I tend to pose my fingers just like that, but I'm not 110% sure it's the right finger pose for this character.. but fudge it, good job!
Update on the environment piece I am currently working on. The train is pretty much complete in max, including the interior. Then I used them as a basemesh for zbrush to dynamesh, weld and polish.
KazeoHin: thank you
thatanimator: haha cheers, just did that pose for a quick test right after i finished rigging him, might make another character more suited for that pose
A weapon I am currently making for my next character.
Great stuff.
[Stolen the wheels from a friends old train model to save time as we're both working on the same project]
Finally unwrapped and baked! Still playing around with the maps and a lot of fiddles in TB2. The interiors are also built but only to a basemesh stage.
