Hey, i've been wanting to make a weapon or something for lion for a while now, would love to make that weapon if it's not taken already. Or if you're planning on making changes to the concept as vlad suggested i could wait for that.
I like what you did with handle section. And I guess the point of interest issue is technically fixed but something about the top section feels a little bland to me. Maybe adding a little more complexity to the 3 thorns could help. Kind of like how on the original you have the two bigger ones and 1 smaller one and they're longer/less chunky. Those shapes looked a bit more interesting to me. Might be just me though
That necro scythe is the sexiest thing ever! I would totally grab it if I felt I could do it justice but I don't at the moment. The leshrack set is looking awesome but I feel it needs a bit more deviation from the original model as it looks a tad too blended in imo.
Working on a Spectre set, can I get critiques? Right now I'm trying to make the set look less armory and more organic, but I thought it'd be a good idea to get early feedback too.
I really like the shape language you have going on in the shoulder and the helmet. The two things I'm not really sold on yet are the weapon - it seems to belong to another set because it seems to stand apart from the other items in terms of shape language. The other thing would be the back of the helmet, check out in the original how hunched over her posture is and how she animates, by having the piece that comes upward from her neck, I think you cover up a lot of the cool helm design from the game camera. Instead, I think it'd be cool to have something closer to the original in terms of how the shapes flow for the back piece but with the unique shape language you've established. Hope that wasn't too rambly.
Hey Spud! Thanks for your feedback! Yeah, I agree with you on both points, but her weapon is really just a placeholder right now because I feel that showing the set without some kind of weapon is weird. I'll figure something out!

Hm, I'm liking the previous version better I think. The latest one is losing a bit of the complexity that really struck me about the original. I also really liked the helmet part in the original since it really became the centerpiece - all of the attention was drawn there since the low, forward pointing horns created a really strong point of contrast shapewise, therefore drawing focus there. I feel like with the current one, the 'hotspot' is on the top of the head which I think isn't as interesting as your first idea. I also think it'd be really helpful for you to have a quick silhouette sketch from the back or from a game camera angle since with Spectre, more than any other hero, it's a major part of her design.
The polygon budgets for spectre are pretty huge so the more complex shapes of the earlier version should be quite doable.
So to sum it up, I really liked what you did with the original and I think that if you continue what you have in the front there to the back, it'll look really cool! Hope that helps!
It looks even more awesome ingame. This will be one of the sets I will def purchase. Consider that a huge compliment since I only bought one and it was for my main hero
The hair makes him look a bit too emo I think. People are already getting angry that when they updated his model they made his face look angrier so I can only imagine that hair would cause them to poop their pants even more.
yeah but i think removing the 3 middle strands should solve that issue, also i think colorwise his horns should be brighter so a better contrast to his body gets established

vlad, very nice job! maybe add a bit of yellow to the specular parts? i guess a bit of colorvariation will look great on it.
