Hello! Getting a bit of a late start, due to school. I'm hoping to gain a good learning experience, since this is my first contest.

Jumping right in, I'm using a concept by Christina Smith, along with other reference photos of Mursi tribe folk.

Most women from the Mursi tribe in Ethiopia have lip plates. I've chosen to omit this feature, as I feel it would detract from the character design.

Here is the progress on my character sculpt. I've decided to forego the inclusion of the traditional lip plate. It's common for females of the Mursi tribe to use lip plates, however, I felt it would detract from the rest of the character.

Here's an update on my progress so far:
I've blocked out the character's clothing, and hunting knife in Max and I've moved back to ZBrush for detail work.
Also, I addressed some issues with the character's facial structure; her bone structure was a bit on the masculine side.
