I recently started to paint my own textures, and here's a couple of examples that I've made.
I'd like to know what I have to improve and maybe get some useful tips?
Thanks in advance!

I would say the wood is probably your strongest piece here - the hay (is it hay?) is quite hard to read as it just looks like very bright yellow strokes haphazardly placed and not very 'hay-like', are you using references for the textures? The first stone texture is very subtle and doesn't really resemble stone, more like plaster that has just been placed onto a wall, from the wavy strokes that have been made.

The rocks and moss seem ok but I would say the moss's hue is probably too blue for the scheme - I am no color pro but I would probably recommend going for a more darker yellow-green rather than toward blue to complement the bricks.

Yes, it's supposed to be hay. Actually no, but I'll start to use references from now on (simply tried to make it from my mind).

It's supposed to be plaster ^^

Yeah, I think that will do the trick as well. And obviously I'm not a color pro either ^^

Janne, your most recent texture looks great. You improved the way your plaster looks from your first post. The plaster has nice subtle details. The wood looks extremely good in my opinion. My only complaint with how the wood looks is that the center board has some strips that look unnatural with how they overlap other pieces making it resemble a vine or twisting branches.

As for the texture as a whole, I think that it would be an exceptional looking texture if you painted over the boards and plaster sections that you reused so that you have more variation. Right now it is very obvious that reused pieces.

I hope this helps and I would honestly love to see more of your work because you seem to have a boat load of potential and someone I could probably learn a thing or two from.
