Wow! Great thread, surprisingly still hard to find dev documentation devoted to mobile, very interesting! Will be following closely.

Do you guys have any plans to port this over to Ouya? This game looks like a blast to play but sadly I can't try it out seeing as the only Android device I've got is an Ouya.
anal_cove, congrats for the game, may I ask you are you using the toon gooch pro shader? I got it, and I can't make it work on android (specifically galaxy s3) I was having an issue showing some problems while using the gooch effect. If you don't mind sharing how you made it work if you used that one. Thanks!
@Bugo Hey man. Thank you first and foremost!
secondly, our programmers developed their own engine, so they created all their own tools and shaders. No Unity here. Sorry man
@Torch thanks for the huge compliment. we plan to continue this game for a while (obviously depending on how well it does) we'd love to hear all the feedback we can get. Also if you got cool ideas we'd love to hear them as wel
We've been crazy busy over here at Clapfoot, and have been working on other projects. We're going to be doing a smallish art push to the game by the end of the year.
This project looks awesome I love the environments especially.
Like Shrike said, the main cubes stand out to me, especially because it's what the player will be focusing on a good portion of the time. They should be just as exciting and flavorful as the characters and the environment, if not more so. The latest pictures I saw of them seemed kind of soft with flat stickers stuck on the sides. Maybe simplifying the symbols so they can integrate with the cubes better would solve this? That's kind of a graphic design problem, but I think if you solve it it will go a long way to uniting the look of your game.
@Urzaz@Shrike
I really do agree. Its just very difficult to make time to go back to work on something that is already integrated. We have a very small team, and big polish issues are unfortunately something that becomes less priority over trying to generate new experiences and work.
That plus we're usually working on two projects at once.
I honestly am so appreciative of the feedback, and I will definitely tell the big daddies (bosses)
I totally understand. I wouldn't even bring it up if it weren't such a core part of the game. That screenshot of the blocks kind of says to the player "this is what the game's about", and if it doesn't look as cool as it should they might not even check out the game.
If you ever have any time to go back, that'd be my bet for what to focus on. The upside is, the blocks and the graphics *might* be improved by being simplified significantly, so if you do go back it might be easier to do than you think. Just a thought.
