Sensitive Sensor Studios presents Chimera!
Hello Polycount,
Sensitive Sensor Studios is a small student game development team based out of the University of Michigan. We created Chimera as a project for our major design course, and ended up winning the 2012 University of Michigan Computer Games Showcase.
We are continuing development primarily as a learning experience for novice game developers. We have created the beginnings of a game engine and a game itself, and we are looking for a 3D Character Artist/Animator that would like to help us.
Chimera is a cel-shaded 3D platforming game in which the player acquires various animal parts and uses them to navigate interesting environments and solve puzzles. Each animal part has a unique ability that helps the player to overcome obstacles. For example, cheetah legs allow the player to sprint, kangaroo legs allow the player to jump exceptionally high and ground pound, frog tongue creates a rope, etc. A player may equip up to three parts at a time, allowing them to combine parts to get additional value.
Up to this point, another team member and myself have been attempting to create and animate everything, but we are looking for someone to provide a more polished look.
