Hey all,

Im new to this forum and 3d modelling but I'm looking to learn and get better. Im mostly self taught and would love some more trained eyes to give me some feedback. Its hard to know if I'm on the right track without it.

I started working on a new character from a concept I made and am wondering what the best way is to proceed now. The character is wearing a vest and a tie and Im wondering if it's better to model those as seperate from the rest of the model or do you just extrude it out?

Any other feedback on the model would be great too.

One obvious difference is that the concept is 3-fingered; removing the extra digit would probably improve the dimensions of the hands.

If I were you, I'd keep the vest and tie imbedded in the mesh. This will make your life easier if you want to rig this later

By the way, check the wiki on the top of the page. There is a lot to be found on edge loops. It's a good place to be when you are starting out.
