Hi everyone! I want to start my first WIP here and also this will be my first try in the lowpoly creation and in the gamedev overall. I'm the big fan of the elder's scroll style. For many years I wore the idea to create something based on the elder's scroll's world and finally I've started!
My aim is to create a clip with 2-5 min duration with a flight through the ruins on the open air and one interior in the cave. But the main goal is to get strong understanding of the game asset's creation process (lowpoly meshes, baking, texturing). For basic modeling I'm using 3dmax or Maya, hipoly- Zbrush, baking - xnormal, texturing - ps, zbrush, mudbox, game engine - Cryengine. I will be greatly appreciate for any help, advices or criticism!!!
In the attached pics you can see all refs, base meshes and few low in progress.
P.S. Sorry for my bad english))

First of all - I don't know how to do this:) Second - I simply have no time for this. As I said before, my goal now is to improve my skills in lowpoly, to learn a game engines. Maybe later, when I'll finish everything I'll do it, but it is too early to even think about it.
Hm.. I've already did that. Candles are looked too dirty with strong AO and I lowered the value. I will increase it a little and I still need to work with specular map.
P.S. How can I change the thread name? I want to add [CE3] in the beginning.
And one more thing - I'm doing modeling at work in my spare time, texturing at home. That is why I'm jumping from one thing to another and coming back to them after. I can't do nothing to do with this now, just using all my opportunities to move the project forward.
P.S. Question about renaming of the thread is still actual:)

But I would REALLY start reading up on modular design/assets before going any further as that is a HUGE part of what you're trying to do and and if you end up going too far without bearing modularity in mind you might have to go back and re-do a lot of your work.
You re-name the thread by editing the original post and changing the post title
