Any chance you could make a short tutorial or time lapse even of the texturing/painting process? My next character I'd seriously love to texture in this style.

Sorry for the late answer. I've already made some sort of tutorial/guide, but it qute usless right now because I have very chaotic style of texturing, lack of basic art drawing skills and some problems with english =D
I'll try to fix it a little and then post it here.
And a new model:
P.s. I don't really like the back side.... too flat =\
Thank you very much
Well, a lot of things happened in my life lately. Now I'm livig 2000 km away form home and working as a vfx artist at CG animation studio (creating cartoon right now - I looooove cartons)
But I still continue learning low poly modeling (also a little bit high poly) and texturing.
So I'm going to continue post here my borderlands style models. I really like this style =D
This is really nice stuff, will you try any weapons? Are you running any actions over these, or doing it by hand. You should check out the art book they punted out last year (i think) if you haven't done so already

Thanks, I think I saw that art book, but I'll check it - maybe it something new.
Yeah, I definitely should try to create a gun or something. But sooo much work now. So much things to do.... (and this is summer time! so hard to sit in front of PC )
Cool Stuff! I have always wanted to replicate this kind of look but failing badly at it. So quick question really- how to get a look to something like this? is it all in the texture (hand painted I assume?) or is it with just how you render it? or a bit of both? Thanks
Thanks)
Well, in my case - handpainted textures about 90% and 10% - render (usulay just for outlines).
Also I draw extra outlines (or just black lines I should say) on almost every corner. But no rules, just feelings

Next step - humans and animals. But so far I can hardly make a hand or a leg =D
