i textured a doom set for the polycount contest, but normally i just do the concepts. i usually hand paint my textures so they don't really fit too well with dota.

also other concepty things!

Don't want to be an ass, but your slardar back armor looks a lot like my back armor for Slark. If I take a look at your concept it had been a crab shell, and now it's a lobster shell with exactly 3 pieces? After Vlad's last thing, I just had to mention this because it's nothing like your original idea, and I'm not sure what to think about it.

The colors are different and the quality is a lot better, but the idea is exactly the same. If you knew how many ideas I threw away because it would conflict with other pieces..

i think it's just an unfortunate coincidence. the thingy vlad just linked was a refined concept i did a while ago. the contest thread was just the initial concept but i don't think i uploaded the newer concept publicly anywhere.

I'm not on the hate train, I just feel that the last thing you pulled off isn't someting that should be taken easy on. Especially if you already post it on the workshop!

The concept your showing isn't from that period, and it also looks a lot different than the final piece. I don't mind it looking simular, and there's always someone that had some simular ideas, although there's someting different at using simular ideas and copying stuff.

Everybody can throw around some ideas and make some concepts about it, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something that you used and made it yourself a bit. I can also show you concepts I made and never posted that looks almost exactly like the item you posted!

The colors are different, the shape is different, the hero is different, i bet you didn't even asked the lobsters if they'll allow you to use the shape of their shells for your submission. I suggest we discuss theft of ART when it's obviously not based around living things that are probably googled with the same keywords.

Also a lot of ppl have simular ideas and you can't browse every game or concept on the net or workshop, and also you can never have any copyright or something on parts from a living creature. Maybe the turtle need to be able to speak than

So give it a rest and apperantly the guy you used the concept from before didn't knew anything about it so you might want to watch out with those things in the future!

I like the concepts a lot that being posted here in this thread, and beetrootChan is a great concept artist and I'm taking the blame on this point and I probably shouldn't have said anything.

To be honest, I don't think what vlad did before was okay, but I'm pretty sure it was a mistake the he will only make once, and that slardar shell looks nothing like the slark. The only thing that's similar is that it's on in the back and both are three pieces. Relax guys...

You just need to pull yourself togehter and finish that horse, add more items to the nightstalker and so on.

I love the "shroud thing" for Night Stalker however I dont think Batman logo is a good idea.

Regarding the mech ward, I guess if people want it you should make it. I personally do not think it matches the style of the game.

I am not sure if the "Balls" for the Disruptor mount is good idea either.

The mech ward has already been made and was really well received by the community - it's Tinker-themed, how does that not fit the style of the game?
