Hello All.
I have signed up to Polycount to ask for your assistance in helping me complete an Item I have been working for the past few days, It's a simple item.
To start off it isn't a hat, It's a Misc. Item for the Engineer Class, It fits into his pouch... should fit into his pouch.
I have made a few hats before, but I used the itemtest compiler instead of the popular "HellJumpers" way. The problem I'm having is rigging the item to the pouch bone, but because my item has different styles, which are separate models, I assume I would also have to connect them to the same bone? I would also like the item to be paintable.
also, would the itemtest compiler be suitable for this job, or would I have to do another method?
I know this may be asking a lot, But I know the basics and that's about it, Thank you in advance!

I have not decompiled any other pouch item.
I took a look at that link, I've already seen it before I'm afraid I know how to model it and pair it to the head bone, would it be the same for the pouch bone also? my main issue is making the model show up in the right place and of course including different styles.
Try the first link in the compiling section
I NEED HELP!....please?
You can even create the pouch bone (use correct name of course) at 0,0,0 in 3d program and just rig your item there. then adjust position and reskin until it aligns. quick re-export, the model viewer will refresh exports.
(this is using the item test/beta importer)
You need to make sure you export the mesh and bone(s) used. You don't need to include head bone in export.
