Hello! I'm brand new to 3d and this is my first full character model so I was hoping I could get some feedback as there's so much to learn and I haven't even scratched the surface. I worked on 2 head bust studies prior to this and decided it was time work on a full character. I learned a little about hard surface modeling from the beginning of this project and had a ton of mistakes and things I needed to fix/hide so I'm sure you'll find plenty for me to work on and fix. It's still a w.i.p. before I feel like I would like to start painting but the main idea is there. Thanks for looking!

I'd love to hear any CC, I've got tons to learn and work on so anything I can learn from my mistakes on this would be very helpful. This thing is literally a polygon abomination as far as my construction went of him, and I have a lot to learn as far as putting details in the right places and managing my final count so I can take my projects further into other programs like Maya and 3DS. Thanks for looking!

The wire frames are a mess tho I will say that. Early on I didn't realize what stitching together geometry would do so there were a lot of problems of my poly's stretching and contracting in bad places that I had to fix/hide. That's not to mention the over use of subdivision levels early on for things that didn't require much detail, trying to decimate WAY to early on, the list goes on of the things I messed up on. An example would be that the main wooden body probably could use significantly less polys for what I was trying to achieve., as well as much of the rest of the character.
I followed the advice of a friend this morning and was able to pose him tho, even if only a little bit, to add some more character to him.
