Getting t-pose back on a bone based rig?

I imported a mesh and used the Skin Wrap modifier. All seemed well till I clicked the "covert to skin" button.

Any clue as to what could be wrong.

I'm no animator, some help would be greatly appreciated :)
Oh, and I'm using max 2010.
