hy guys, its me again with another portfolio piece, i used a concept from this site:http://inspiration3d.tumblr.com/. Its a doctor who communications unit.
My only real crits are that the buttons should have some wear not only on the edges, but in the middle as well. People pressing them continually would make them fade a bit.
Otherwise your specularity looks strange, with the speckle effect on the metal.
@swag: Thank you for the critic. I tried to get the central wear on the buttons with ddo, but it didnt quite work, so i will manually paint it later today, for the specularity i dont understand what you mean. The "speckle" was ment to be paint which wear off.
Unless the paint has worn off recently, the bare metal underneath will have become weathered and thus less shiny. Keep in mind that one of the main purposes for painting metal is to protect the metal from the elements.
The combination of English text in the display and the apparently alien icons on the buttons seems a bit odd, but that might just be me...
@DWalker: hahaha it never came to me that i was using english in the display, will fix it. So i should darken the specular of the scraped off paint metal underneath?

Would be nice to see some wireframes though.

Here's an update on the screen:
Not sure what would cause that type of wear. Anyway still looking good.
