You just used planes for the hair and hand painted all of them in?
Or did you bake some of the strands from Zbrush?
I've done a little liquify/paintover to show you what I'd tweak to make it look a little more real.
Just my 2 cents. Keep at it!
I totally agree, the materials and stuff is nice, and with that edit.. or a similair one to your tastes you have a tasty model
@D4V1DC: Firstly I made a few basic peaces of geometry and texture for them. Then I placed them all over the head.
@ScoobyDoofus Thanks for advice. For some reason something went wrong with his eyes:) Let's say he is from Final Fantasy world where it's ok:)
And your idea about hair is also good.
Hope you like it!
Great work man, I think the face on the guy in the first post could use a little work, but the materials are sweet!
They are both pretty great, nice materials etc. I think for the woman the skin definition is the only thing I'd work on, right now it reads a bit cartoony to me, with deep hues. Real skin is a bit desaturated and noisy.
the only thing that bothered me , is i think the guy's neck is too short, his shoulders are too close too his head, giving him a "bunched shoulders" kinda scared stance. i would make his head a little bit bigger and a bit taller neck.
I updated the first post to avoid misunderstanding.
them cloth wraps.
Damn, seriously cool work though.
Only critique I'd have is that his skin feels a little bit to opaque, I would have given him just a notch more SSS - but then, looking at my current work I might have a bit too much SSS in my skin materials.. something inbetween maybe..
This is looking great, i really love how the lighting hit his face in such a smooth manner
Stellar work
@SwarthChumkid Thanks!
@Dimfist Thank you! It's just normal map, no displacement.
Inspired by amazing concept art of Ilya Golitsyn
