Well it appears a reddit group over the past year has incrementally hoiked GS share price up into the Stratosphere, thereby butt hurting a bunch of hedge-fund traders who had bet short with losses so far estimated to be in the billions which incidentally was helped along by a Musk tweet pushing these buggers off the proverbial cliff...for the moment at least.
As an aside, hopefully Game Stop will continue trading on the high street once this covid shite settles. I've bought most of my gaming merch from their Australian subsidiary chain - EB Games - when they first opened here back in 1997.
That is kind of insane to be honest. Today I was just thinking about this topic in general. Like we see a bunch of research results related to enhancing images or videos with AI, but its still rare to see actual real life applications. I mean Im wondering when is this going to be accessible to regular people? Until then, I can't see this being useful. Im a bit sceptical, sorry.

In all honesty there is nothing in their right AI enchanced side that couldn't be done in the game itself. it's just rather matter of artistic taste in such areas like textures and colors . A bit smoother less contrast details in asphalt texture for example. A bit of manual extra shader tweaks beyond typical metal/roughness. A bit of color touch in post for less "black holes" and a bit more scattered milder lighting in trees with a bit more hires first lod . All could be possible to do on current hardware I believe.
Ironically less procedural and engine driven and more dependent on artists a game is, more chances it could be looking right that AI one. There is just no time and proper tools for such final tweaks necessary to reach this in typical production pipeline.
I'm back into regular practice after a bit over a year of burnout, and my studying Russian in this time period makes it possible to search Yandex and Soviet technical documents for reference materials that google doesn't have. Here's hoping I can actually finish a project for once.
