Hello Polycount!!! And all you AMAZINGLY talented artist, both professionals and the very talented hobbyist/ students!
I want to be active here and everywhere, I have been in the shadows..freelancing professionally..suppose its time I step into the light. I have been spending most of my time working as hard as I can perfecting my skills while freelancing and taking care of my ill mother, who recently passed away. As a way to fulfil my promise to return to my career, I am going to start posting on Polycount as well as other places.
I love everything hard-surface, when properly done.
Here is some of the stuff I have done.
All models based on real products. I created these for advertisements and trade-show graphics=) these are of course just the clay render versions of them, because I like the clay look for looking at models.
This was my fav model out of all the various products I had to model. Based on various engineers blueprints. I had the benefit of the actual engineers explain to me what each part does and where it all goes...Cant say I can repeat all that now..hell if I remember it all.but I do remember what every little part on the actual massive engine looks like and It was a joy recreating it in 3D, while keeping it looking "generic" enough for advertisement directors purposes.
Fun Fun FUN!!! I love hard surface detail...
I hope you like them as much as I liked making them.
Cheers!. :poly136:

Can I see the sweet wireframe?
Thank you for your comment!
Lets see the first model took me about 3 maybe 4 days..casual modeling. And the Turbine Jet Engine took me about a week, as I had to cross check my work with the engineers=) Good times.
hehe sure i will try to render up a nice wireframe and post=)
Thank you very much for your compliment and comment. Yes i adore it...its kinda permanently a part of me now lol=/ I am working on killer new RIDICULOUSLY detailed hard-surface models for new portfolio, but though it nice to show this stuff to Polycount first haha
Sense I did s damn much of it for years as a freelance contract artist for engineering companies...I think I have alot of experience in hard-surface.
Will be posting my hard-surface characters soon!!! ^_^
Thank you for your comment.
Hehe, thank you? ^_^
Here is an old model I created in-between contract works. Trying to get back into epic character work, I searched the internet for really great artwork to inspire and to use as ref for modeling new portfolio, this one is one of the ones I just had to model:
And the wires:
I will start working on this guy again, gonna make him detailed in zbrush and may add additional model details, cables etc..I will make a thread for this model as well to follow progress.
Comments welcome.
ps Sorry about your mother Liquid-Grievous. I know what ya feeling.:(
...thank you. I spent over a year of my life trying to take care of her while she battled cancer, I had to leave my industry and field...I hope now, to return to my industry. I hope this higher caliber of work will help me.
Thanks for the comment.
