I'm currently working on a robot arm for a school assignment.
I started working on it on Saturday and has to be fully textured by the 7th of January.

I used this awesome concept.

I tried to stick relatively close to the concept, but used my own interpretation for some parts.

Here's what I've got right now:
(forgot to disable shadows on floaters and I still need to pose it)

Still need to finish the top section and add something to the "knee joint" and add more cables.

Comments and crits would be appreciated! :)

    The modelling looks solid!

    My crits:
-Everything looks like it has the same width. Id go in and give some variation in the y axis
-The concept generally is quite bulky, and your model looks really slender
-There are some proportion issues that should be dealt with. I made a paintover (took longer than i wanted :P). In my opinion that is, ofcourse

-Oh and yes, more cables for the win! :)

    Looking excellent!

Thanks for taking the time to do that!

Now that you mention it, the proportions definitely need some work, I'll try to fix that ASAP.

I've got about 2 days to fix that and the rest of the high poly and then I really need to get started on the low poly. Hope I can finish everything! :)

Well I've got one day left to "finish" this.
The proportions aren't really right, bake isn't perfect and the textures still need a lot of work, but I feel like I learned a lot from working on this.

    feel free to give critiques/comments.

I'll try to do more work on the texture tomorrow, and maybe do a better render.
