Its... OK. The biggest problem seems to be that you didn't spend enough time on it.
The proportions are off, the body should be longer, and the handle as well. A lot of your edges are wobbly and their radii aren't consistent with the ref. Pay close attention to how sharp the edges are on the ref as you add in your control loops.
If you want to improve overall, I'd take a single piece of a model like this and put at least as much time into modeling that piece 'perfectly' as you put into this whole model. That way you'll train your eyes to see the forms that typically go into hard body design.
Like SINtuition said, the proportions are a bit off. Even if you want to deviate from the reference, for practicality, the side handle should be similar in diameter to the base grip. Also, the contours at the top of the base don't match the contours of the head. I would have done it as one piece, then detached the head and extruded out the neck to the body.
Also, the roundness on the top of the head in your reference, and the rotational arrow help inform the circular motion and intended shape of the grinding wheel, even if you have to skimp on polys for it. The only indicator on your model is the texture, which is betrayed when the perfectly round line butts up to the angular edge

So here are the final UDK renders of my electric grinder. I set it on a marble platform. Feedbacks and comments are appreciated!
