Might be a good time to look into starting a new game idea to start a new company perhaps through kick starter? if all else fails at least it is an option, I'd be down with you cause you got the ideas for designs so that's half way their.
Love the work, best of luck.
We have a few openings at Kingsisle if you don't mind moving to Austin - link
Saved all your work for inspiration, awesome stuff.
EDIT:
Whoa, your right, I left the page up and was able to see it once I hit refresh their it went. =/ odd, guess someone at a company said hey don't do that.. :poly122:
Edit: Ninja'd, haha.
Good luck in your search.
Thanks for the comments everyone. Yea its a pretty sour situation.
It's a damn shame to see such a great group of people go, but I am really pumped to have worked with these guys and consider myself better off for it.
Any leads are much appreciated! I'm excited to work on some personal work in the meantime, so you can watch my blog for updates if anyone's interested. (can see it in my sig)
I will personally vouch for Rayph as being a great person to work with, and I also have a fantastic Technical Animator/Rigger that I can recommend, especially if the job is in the North East.
This really pisses me off - I know exactly what it feels like - been hit with the banhammer even after being given the greenlight to show stuff.
"company secrets / revealing company technology" - yeah because noone knows what concept art or 3d models are or what wireframes look like, that shit is voodoo man top secret! :poly142:
How many threads are there on polycount where seniors are giving advice to students / upcoming artists along the lines of 'resumes mean nothing if your an artist - folios are everything!'
So what the hell is an artist supposed to do after he or she is let go and banned from showing what they worked on? Use their resume to impress a new potential employer - great!
Anywayyyyyyy!
Sorry to hear about this man, but I'm positive it won't be long before you get snaffled up - you're too good to have twisting in the wind!
But in the meantime...researching how to get some password protection into blogger...
As for the rest of the guys and gals affected by these layoffs there really is a ton of talent to be snatched up. Chaos (willem) is on the verge of absolute badassness studios would be nuts not to snatch that up.
This is exactly why I believe this kind of stuff should be taken care of at employment/publisher contract, to be allowed to exhibit certain assets agreed upon by both parties in the event of termination.
Sadly I know so many of us are not in the position for such bargaining.
You guys are seriously talented. I'm sure you'll find a new gig soon.
haiddasalami: Yeah, we worked with Chadwick. So much pro
Going to miss the hell out of all of you!
Now the job search begins, so who's hiring?
Was great while it lasted fellas.

If you know any texture or modeling artists looking for gigs and dont mind the move.
Unfortunately we literally closed a concept art position a few weeks ago.
Most of the generalist positions are for seattle locals though, so go fo the modeling and texturing positions
Sorry to hear you guys got laid off, my best wishes that you guys find something soon (which I know you will because yall are a talented bunch )
Peace
B
We're hiring for a few art-related positions (and a lot of code based) at Timegate right now, if you're willing to live in the Houston, TX area.

Side note in regards to "banhammer" from studios: create a passworded section on your site.
Have your personal / approved professional work available to everyone, but if you have a bunch of stuff you can't show due to circumstances like this, you can PW a section and give that to potential employers so they can view your new work.
Many of my friends / coworkers have done similar things and that has worked in more cases than not.
